10 Trousseau Must-Haves

2 Jun

While it was really hard to narrow it down to just 10, I believe no bride’s trousseau is complete without these. They’re the basics that will keep you from running to the mall or the tailor within the first month of being married (who wants to do that?!) because you “don’t have anything to wear!” or “nothing matches with this!”

I’ve written this as a guest post on the IndianRoots blog.Screen Shot 2022-06-02 at 11.28.37 AM

Psst…I hear you’ll be able to shop for designer wear on their website soon - definite names include Meera and Muzaffar Ali and Raw Mango!

PS. My guest post went up yesterday, but I couldn’t put it up on the blog because my father’s back has given out and the family has been keeping busy with giving him some TLC. So expect delayed responses on all fronts from me. Back soon!

I think having a couple of festive suits (anarkalis, simple A-line suits, kameez with plazo pants etc.) is also a must. They can be dressed up or down depending on the accessories and make-up.

    Hi,

Can you do a post on checklist for shopping? I am getting married in November. I have made a rough checklist including sarees, suits, casual wear, makeup. But I dont wanna miss out on anything.

Well, even I didn’t manage to get some of these items and am still getting them done! I only realised the need for some post my wedding, when I was rushing to tailors to get more things stitched!
Btw, loved your white wedding dress! And I didn’t know you had a blog! Any way to follow it via email? Would love to be updated on when a new post is up!

Hi Gurleen. There are lots of places in GK1 m-block market where you can buy this material as well as get it stitched - Eve’s is the most famous of them all, but there are decent tailor shops in one of the basement areas which do as good a job.

HI.. its 4:30 am and m just going through your blog and I found it very informative for a not so fashion freak bride-to-be like me(though I am very choosy when it comes to clothes and never wanted to end up buying “anything” for my wedding..lol)!! Getting nightmares as there are only 4 months left in my wedding and I have not started any preparations yet…I guess your blog is gonna help me a lot. Anyway I am not able to read this post as the link says it does not exist anymore, so it would be a great help if you can again post it here. Keep up the good work sweet.!! :-) I’ve also subscribed for your magazine to keep myself updated. Plz help me with this post.

Hi Isha! 4 months is still a lot of time to prepare, start ASAP though! You can always email your queries to me. As for the link, I’ve updated it now. Try it out!
