Trend Spotting: 6 Bridal Trends for Wedding Season 2014-15

4 Sep

Like I said in my last post, I’m currently compiling a Resource Guide to Fashion Weeks for 2014-15: Bridal Edition. This is one of the posts from the series.

So many fashion weeks, so many wedding exhibitions. You’re feeling lost, but I’m here to put it all together and wrap it up in a neat package with a bow on it for you :) In continuation with de-mystifying Fashion Week for brides, here’s the post I wrote on IndianRoots that covers THREE fashion weeks in a single page. Hard work, but someone’s gotta do it! Read an excerpt below:

Trend Spotting: 6 Bridal Trends for Wedding Season 2014-15 thedelhibride guest post

“Your wedding is just around the corner, and you’re drawing up a list of trousseau items you need to buy.

Sarees, anarkalis, lehengas – the usual. But should you buy that floral print saree? Is colour-blocking still in? Are pastels the right colour palette, or was that three seasons ago?

Lucky for you, three fashion weeks just wrapped up in India – Lakme Fashion Week, India Bridal Fashion Week and India Couture Week. This is where the top designers showcase their latest collections and determine what you will see at Indian weddings over the next 6 months (and what shops in Chandni Chowk will make replicas of). While there are plenty of places to find “hot trends” from any one fashion week, we scoured through every outfit from all THREE to bring to you the biggest trends for the upcoming wedding season. Say hello to the most comprehensive trend guide from LFW, IBFW and ICW 2014!”

Find out what the 6 trends you shouldn’t miss out on are - right here.
