Where to Buy Floral Jewellery in Delhi
10 Dec
Floral jewellery has been around for a couple of years. It has been many a brides’ go-to-accessory for the Mehendi ceremony, and I’ve been wondering lately what sparked the trend. Did brides want something unique to adorn themselves with, or was it a matter of finding a lower budget accessory?
Either way, it’s a trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, and considering how popular it is, it’s surprising how little is known about where to find it and whom to get it made from. Continue reading
The What To Wear To MY Wedding Guide Every Bride Needs To Share With Her Wedding Guests!
2 Dec
You know how I’m always saying - we don’t take care of our guests enough? Yes, the same people you’ve already organised hotel rooms, logistics and food for? Yeah, sorry to burst the bubble, but that’s not enough.
You have to do more than just pay for their food, you know. When someone’s a guest at your wedding, it’s your responsibility as a host to make sure you’re giving them the best experience possible. Or at the very least, make it as smooth a journey as possible on the days they’re with you.
This is especially true for friends who fly down from all over the country and the world to attend your wedding. “Outstation guests” is what we call them :)
How I Got The Idea
3 years ago, I had a couple of friends flying to Delhi from Mumbai to attend my wedding. Some of them were Catholic, and some thought Delhi wedding = bling bling bling only. I realised they were clueless about what to wear to my North Indian Hindu wedding, and so I quickly made a personalised Little Wedding Fashion Guide for them so they didn’t feel out of place. It included all the different functions, time of day, dress code, what people usually wore on that particular function, the “Bling Factor” and any important things to keep in mind. Continue reading
How To Organize A Brij Holi At Your Wedding
28 Oct
Brij Holi. Have you heard of it? Attended one at a wedding?
No?
Neither had I.
Which is why when I suddenly saw multiple weddings throwing Brij Holi events, my blogger ears perked up and I dove right in to sniff out all the details that have made this a hot event at Indian weddings.
Honestly, I only know about 3 large-scale Brij Holi ceremonies that have ever taken place at weddings - you were introduced to one at Shonan’s spectacular wedding in a series of posts I wrote earlier this year (you can find it here). What stuck out what the fact that all 3 of them were shot by Stories by Joseph Radhik, one of the top wedding photography teams in India. Continue reading
10 Essential Tips on Planning your Destination Wedding - By A Groom!
7 Oct
I recently read about the incredible journey of a groom named Gopal, who planned his entire destination wedding in Thailand sitting 5,000 miles away in his London home. He had an interesting story to tell, and as I read through the paragraphs of crisp writing, I found myself scribbling down copious notes…on planning a destination wedding! His article had so many great tips, I knew I had to share them with my readers.

It was a simple wedding. Or, well, as simple as it can get with a Bollywood wedding. I LOVE simple Indian weddings, and considering how hard they are to find, Shahid Kapoor & Mira Rajput’s elegant affair shot to the top of my favourites list as soon as it was done. Isn’t it amazing how every one of you out there who doesn’t want a big fat Indian wedding can finally scream from the rooftops - “If Shahid Kapoor can have a simple wedding, SO CAN I!” Yay for every bride out there who just wants a nice simple affair!
There were a lot of great ideas for brides to steal for their own wedding - from decor to hairstyles and even wedding favours, and I’m putting them all together here for you to pick and choose from. Continue reading
The Best Bridal Entry Songs: Updated!
25 JunI thought the perfect bridal entry song was already out, and I knew exactly what to recommend to girlfriends getting married. But yesterday, The Wedding Filmer released such a beautiful new song, and after listening to it on repeat 25 ok 50 times in 24 hours like an obsessed person driving my husband crazy with it, I realised - it’s time for an update to the list! Yes, it’s a whole LIST of recommendations now. Which is great for brides getting married this year, or the next, or any time after today - basically. They don’t realise how lucky they are! I got married just 2.5 years ago, and all I had was ONE option.
