Masaba Gupta got hitched this weekend (here’s the whole story), and a couple of her “slightly” famous friends were in attendance. Who? Oh, you know, just Shahid, Sonam, Alia, Kangana…no biggie, really.

After Amazon India Couture Week and BMW India Bridal Fashion Week, there was one weekend us bloggers got a chance to breathe (because AICW and BIBFW were back to back!) This blogger of yours, though, did not breathe enough that Independence Day weekend. It was spent thoroughly enjoying late nights and hectic days…with friends. Followed by a trip to Mumbai for work (post coming up next!) which then led to…illness. Yes, I’ve been sick. For a whole week. And I’m still only starting to get better, it feels. I’m exhausted, cranky, sleepy, achy all the time. Maybe I was overworked. I don’t know. I don’t want to talk about it.

I thought the perfect bridal entry song was already out, and I knew exactly what to recommend to girlfriends getting married. But yesterday, The Wedding Filmer released such a beautiful new song, and after listening to it on repeat 25 ok 50 times in 24 hours like an obsessed person driving my husband crazy with it, I realised - it’s time for an update to the list! Yes, it’s a whole LIST of recommendations now. Which is great for brides getting married this year, or the next, or any time after today - basically. They don’t realise how lucky they are! I watched “Connected” recently, a wedding video trailer by the very talented videographers - The Wedding Filmer. Their videos usually take me on a fantasy trip where every scene is filled with love & happiness. This time though, it wasn’t just the love that made me sit up & take notice. What caught my eye was the bride’s beautiful outfits! I only caught a glimpse of them in the video, and I knew I wanted more. So off I went and contacted Anuja, the bride, who was more than happy to share all the details (and photos!) about her wedding wardrobe with us, along with a very important lesson she learnt along the way - “Don’t go shopping with someone who loves you too much!” Wondering what that means?
