Masaba Gupta got hitched this weekend (here’s the whole story), and a couple of her “slightly” famous friends were in attendance. Who? Oh, you know, just Shahid, Sonam, Alia, Kangana…no biggie, really.

That’s what made me fall in love with Masaba Gupta’s wedding.
She’s one of the hottest talents in the Indian fashion industry, yet her wedding wasn’t about to be another cliché big fat Indian wedding with a stressed out bridezilla driving everyone crazy.
Have you been watching Jhalak Dikhla Ja Reloaded? I’m only watching it to watch Shahid Kapoor. But while gazing at that adorable smile, I also noticed how much the dancing has improved. Considering this was the very first show of the season, it’s unbelievable how amazing some of the choreography and dance already is! I cannot wait to catch the rest of it.
While I’ve just heard that Shahid might only judge the first 8 episodes, I can’t be sure if that will really happen. I sure hope not! I’ve been depending on Jhalak to keep me from falling into post-wedding blues now that Shahid’s wedding festivities have wrapped up. Yes, that’s right. It’s over, people. The show’s over. And it’s surprising how depressing it is. I will miss all the excitement - What will Mira wear? Which designer will create the outfit? How will Shahid look? Although that last one is a stupid question. Obviously, he will look good. He’s Shahid!

It was a simple wedding. Or, well, as simple as it can get with a Bollywood wedding. I LOVE simple Indian weddings, and considering how hard they are to find, Shahid Kapoor & Mira Rajput’s elegant affair shot to the top of my favourites list as soon as it was done. Isn’t it amazing how every one of you out there who doesn’t want a big fat Indian wedding can finally scream from the rooftops - “If Shahid Kapoor can have a simple wedding, SO CAN I!” Yay for every bride out there who just wants a nice simple affair!

You’ve already got the low down on every single detail, picture and video of Shahid Kapoor’s wedding to Mira Rajput that took place in Delhi yesterday. In my last post on the blog, I shared everything I could find about the wedding so you didn’t have to go click click click to 20 different places to get all the Shahid wedding details.
As the day progressed, a surprising amount of information made its way onto social media and news outlets, especially considering this was a very private affair and everyone involved was being really tight-lipped about it. What us Shahid fans have loved most, though, is the videos of our hero dancing on his own Sangeet. We’ve seen him give some amazing dance performances over the years, but there’s nothing as special as seeing him act like a regular guy next door, dancing with his bride to be and family on his big day :)
Sasha, aka the cutest most adorable actor in all of Bollywood, is getting married TODAY.
If you still didn’t get it, that’s Shahid Kapoor, the cutie patootie heartthrob of girls all over India. He’s getting married. TODAY. Cue: a million hearts shattering.

Mira’s a Delhiite. School - Vasant Valley. College - LSR. Home - Chhattarpur farms. She just graduated from college (yes, she’s likely just 21 years old…) with a degree in English (Hons), and get this - she met Shahid Kapoor through some Satsang group (Radha Soami Satsang Beas) that both their families follow. Are you freakin’ kidding me? *I* could’ve met him like that! Now, if you’ll excuse me for a minute…
