There’s so much catching up to do! Life’s been a whirlwind the last couple of weeks, but don’t worry – I’ve been busy with all things wedding-related! You could call it “field work” 🙂
So many fashion shows have come and gone, and while I will talk about some more over the next few weeks, I’m starting off with a very recent one which caught my eye. The Niki Mahajan fashion show, which was SO right for the Indian bride in so many ways!
Honestly, I hadn’t heard of this particular designer before MissMalini spoke of attending her show. Once I saw a few pictures, I knew I had to share it with you. Some of them are too good to miss!
If I could describe the collection in two words, I’d say it was – very ornate. Very bridal! And if you like intricate & dense embroidery on your clothes, you should have a look at the whole collection (the show was divided into 5 sections, here are the links to the first, second, third, fourth & fifth sections where you can see all the pictures)
Of course, I’m going to share the ones I LOVED from this show. The ones that made me write an entire post on Niki Mahajan 🙂 (all images courtesy Niki Mahajan’s Facebook page)
Where would you wear this opulent a piece? To your roka! Or engagement. Or even your reception! Yes?
This floor length anarkali in the delicious blue, silver and white combination looks so elegant and pretty. Another option for your Roka or engagement ceremony.
The toned down pink and red create such a fabulous pairing of colours. Tell me which bride wouldn’t want to wear this to her own…wedding? Well, yes if it’s a day wedding. It would work for a Mehendi or Sangeet too – but only if you’re into adorning heavily embroidered clothes on those functions as well.
