Where to Buy Floral Jewellery in Delhi

10 Dec

Floral jewellery has been around for a couple of years. It has been many a brides’ go-to-accessory for the Mehendi ceremony, and I’ve been wondering lately what sparked the trend. Did brides want something unique to adorn themselves with, or was it a matter of finding a lower budget accessory?

Either way, it’s a trend that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, and considering how popular it is, it’s surprising how little is known about where to find it and whom to get it made from. So we dug up some dirt to pull out the Floral Jewellery vendor list (yes, I’m punny like that sometimes) for New Delhi.

“Check with any temple or local florist, and yes - Ferns & Petals!”

“There’s a very old florist near the INA metro station, around the Dilli Haat area. I’m sure one can get these from him, since I’ve seen the best garlands at his stall.”

- Ritu Rajput of The Indian Beauty Blog

“The phoolmandi in Mehrauli - if you ask a good florist to customize it for you, I’m sure they will! You just need to pick out the design/flower of your choice.”

- Ruchi Tandon

Edit: The Mehrauli phool mandi has now shifted to Ghazipur phool mandi, according to Little Black Book Delhi.

These floral jewellery spots are mainly located in South Delhi. I would love to hear from you about the best places in Gurgaon, West Delhi, Noida, etc to buy floral jewellery (other than Ferns & Petals)!
